IFRS*
for Beginners
This one-day training is an introduction to IFRS for practitioners
whose primary experience*
has been applying one of Europe's mandatory*,
National Accounting Standards (a.k.a. "National GAAP*").
Consequently, it approaches IFRS from a procedural perspective,
playing down its more theoretical aspects.
As a companion, GAAP.cz also publishes "IFRS policies and
procedures", available in English (online)
and bilingual (offline)
versions.
IFRS for Advanced Practitioners
This three-day training is primarily designed around the needs
of a (non-financial*)
subsidiary consolidated by a parent*
with an IFRS obligation*.
To balance the day-to-day needs of practitioners with IFRS's overriding
faithful presentation*
requirement, the training blends the practical aspects of developing
IFRS compatible policies and procedures with the more theoretical
aspects of international standards in an approximately 60:40 ratio.
IFRS for SME*
In contrast to full IFRS, IFRS for Small and Mid-sized Enterprises
is designed for non-publicly traded companies (companies without public
accountability*).
Since the intention is for IFRS for SME to replace*
'National GAAP', this training is aimed*
at companies operating in member states considering this option and/or
accountants who like to plan ahead*.
US GAAP
This three-day training is designed to meet the needs of an EU
based (non-financial*)
operating*
subsidiary of a US GAAP parent.
Since the US SEC does not make considerations*
for outside influence*, 'National GAAP' derived deviations from US GAAP are
less tolerated than with IFRS*.
Nevertheless, since accountant's trained in Europe cannot avoid being
influenced by national standards to some degree, the training includes
brief discussions on resolving some of the thornier issues*.
As with IFRS for advanced practitioners, this training deals with
both the practical, day-to-day as well as the more theoretical aspects
of US GAAP.
IFRS / US GAAP
While similar in approach to both three-day seminars, this training
compares and contrasts*
IFRS and US GAAP, and uses its added time to examine additional topics
and selected topics in greater detail.
Due to its expanded scope, it is our only public seminar to offer
IES*
certification.
